DARRYL WORLEY SETS DATE FOR 2009 TENNESSEE RIVER RUN BASS TOURNAMENT

Team Trails Bass Tournaments To Coordinate Event

(Nashville, Tennessee.) --  -  Organizers of Darryl Worley's 8th Annual Tennessee River Run have set Saturday, November 7, 2009 as the date for this year's Bass Fishing Tournament on scenic Pickwick Lake. The move away from September's Tennessee River Run was made to accommodate angler availability and better fishing conditions on Pickwick Lake. In addition, Team Trails Bass Tournaments has been contracted to handle the registration, logistics and other details related to the tournament.

"We always had a good turnout for the tournament in September, but after talking to folks who have fished in years past we felt like scheduling it in November will enable more anglers to participate," said Worley. "Team Trails are the best at putting on tournaments, and we feel like this relationship will take the River Run tournament to a new level and raise even more money for the (Darryl Worley) Foundation."

Team Trails Bass Tournaments, is based in Columbus, Mississippi and organizes over 200 fishing tournaments throughout the Southeast every year. The bulk of registrants for the Tennessee River Run Bass Tournament of traditionally come from the West Tennessee, Northwest Alabama and Northeast Mississippi area, and Team Trails owners Cindy and Cliff Holifield anticipate participation from a wider region with the new date.

As details are set for the tournament, interested anglers and sponsors can contact
www.fishteamtrails.com for registration information, entrance fees, rules and payouts.

"The Run," as it is affectionately known in the Savannah area, will kick off with a fish fry and songwriter night on Thursday, September 10, 2009. In addition to the three concerts, fans can participate in a golf tournament, children's fishing tournament, boat and motorcycle poker runs, a 5K run and more.

Last year's Tennessee River Run raised an astonishing $200,000 for the Darryl Worley Foundation, and monies go toward building a cancer treatment center at the Hardin County (Tennessee) Medical. Center

The PAA Announces PAA Payday Program
A tournament bonus program for all Anglers

Benton,Ky. – The Professional Anglers Association (PAA) is proud to announce their all new PAA Payday Program for 2009. The program is a tournament bonus program for all anglers at all levels. Potential bonuses range from $250 to $100,000! Bonuses are paid to winners of a longlist of sanctionedbass tournaments when the anglers are PAA members.
PAA Secretary, John Crews of Salem, VA, said that the organization is proud to release a cash bonus program for anglers of all levels with no discrimination. “We conceived this idea to give benefits to all competitive bass anglers. Once we shaped the plan, it should definitely give the PAA a chance to show the whole bass fishing community that we have a lot to offer.” He went on to say, “it is great because there is no tournament bonus plan that hits ALL anglers regardless of boat brand, engine brand, rod, reel, bait, or even if you don’t have a boat. Team Trails has been added to the list to be sanctioned by the PAA.
Crews also said that,” the PAA Payday program will allow the organization to bring bigger and better benefits to all of our members. We are very excited about having an incentive for all anglers to join the PAA.”
PAA President, Tim Horton, echoed Crews’ enthusiasm.  “We are very excited to be able to offer a program for all anglers from the grass roots tournaments and other pro level events. The PAA Payday will give those types of anglers a chance to see that the PAA is all about.”
The PAA Payday has many levels. The Weekend Winners program includes Team Trails, BASS and many more events. Those events pay $250 to the winner of a regular season event as long as they are a PAA member before the event. The Advantage Winners program pays a $750 bonus to the winners of certain regular sanctioned events, which include WBT, BASS Opens, FLW Stren, and others. Advantage winners must be Advantage level members or Tour members. Current dues are $50 for General, $150 for Advantage, and $400 for Tour level.
The list of sanctioned events will be continually updated on our website. The PAA is currently considering many more tournament trails for the PAA Payday Program. For more information on the PAA Payday Program and interest in having a tournament trail included or for general information about the Professional Anglers Association, visit our website at www.fishpaa.com, or contact the PAA office at 270-527-2030.
